Paper and Paperboard Furniture
Paper or paperboard furniture is not currently implemented in New Zealand industry as at this point in time the amount of paperboard needed to form furniture can cost more than what a normal piece of furniture will. So customers assume wood or plastic made furniture is better and would rather pay for those rather than paperboard furniture. These ideas are made to make paperboard furniture work exactly the same as normal furniture if not better then pre-existing furniture.
Paper/Paperboard furniture can be easily made using corrugated cardboard. The good thing with using corrugated cardboard there are different types that allow for stronger or weaker structures. For pieces of furniture that needs to be more comfortable memory paper, like memory foam but made of paper, will be used to ensure that chairs are comfortable.

Unassembled pieces of furniture will be a flat piece scored and cut so it can be manipulated to the desired furniture shape. During the actual transportation or storage these flat piece furniture kits can be easily sacked one upon another which reduces amount of space need to store while also meaning more units can be shipped per crate or shipping container.
For pieces of furniture that need water proofing like tables, a spray will be applied to the unassembled piece of furniture creating a film that can be removed before a piece of furniture is recycled.
All pieces of furniture can be customised by the customer to suite their individual likes and needs. Colour, feel and pattern can be easily changed during the process of making the piece of furniture by printing what is wanted on to the pieces.
These pieces of furniture are easily made as they are just like origami which are easily constructed with simple instructions.
